AVV312LUASOMX14 - Siemens Venturi Air Valves. The Siemens Venturi Air Valve is a pre-packaged, easy-to-install airflow measurement and control solution. It provides fast-acting, stable and precise airflow control of room supply, room general exhaust, or fume exhaust. Venturi Air Valves use specially designed springs that move the cone control element along the central shaft, in or out of the venturi throat, compensating for changes in static pressure conditions. The spring assemblies are sensitive to mounting orientation. Siemens offers the valve in the horizontal, vertical upflow, and vertical downflow mounting orientations. The “Medium” range spring delivers pressureindependent flow control as long as the pressure drop across the air valves stays within the range of 0.6 in. WC to 3.0 in. WC. The “Low” range spring delivers pressure-independent flow control as long as the pressure drop across the air valves stays within the range of 0.3 in. WC to 3.0 in. WC. The spring responds in less than 1 second to changes in static pressure. Each of the air valves is factory calibrated with NIST traceable flow stations
