I/O modules

For ET 200SP, a comprehensive range of I/O modules, including fail-safe versions, is available:

• Digital input modules (DI), with color coding white
• Digital output modules (DQ), with color coding black
• Digital input/output modules (DI/DQ), with color coding mint green
• Analog input modules (AI), with color coding light blue
• Analog output modules (AQ), with color coding dark blue
• Technology modules (TM), with color coding turquoise
• Communications modules (CM), with color coding light gray
• Special modules, with color coding mint green
• Motor starters as direct-on-line starters (DS) and reversing starters (RS)
• Pneumatics

Apart from the standard type of delivery in single-unit packaging, selected I/O modules and BaseUnits are also available in a pack of 10 units. The pack of 10 units enables the amount of waste to be reduced considerably, as well as saving the time and cost of unpacking individual modules.

Front labeling and enclosure colors

The I/O modules are clearly labeled on the front which makes commissioning and servicing easier:

• Plain text labeling of the module type:
  E.g.: "DQ 16 x 24 V DC/0.5 A"
• Function class of the module: Basic, Standard, High Feature or High Speed
• ID-Link, the digital nameplate with encryption of the order and serial number as a uniform information exchange platform for product information and data on the module, readable via mobile end devices
• Connection diagram
• Fail-safe modules are, in addition to the color codes of the module types, identified by a yellow housing and an "F-" prefix on the plain text labeling.
• Function status of the hardware
• Firmware version
• Color code of the matching color-coded label for the process terminals of the module
• Suitable BU type
• Article No. of the module (for P. unit 1)
