SIMATIC S7+ Connector

The SIMATIC S7+ Connector is a southbound connector for Industrial Edge, which can be used to collect data from S7-1200/1500 PLCs and PLCSim Adv.

The SIMATIC S7+ Connector allows users to connect their applications via the Industrial Edge Management System to various SIMATIC S7 PLCs.
It supports high-frequency data transmissions and can write data back to the PLC.

This high-performance connector supports the following PLCs: S7-1500 PLCs, S7-1200 PLCs, PLCSim Advanced and the Siemens software controllers.

The S7+ Connector is configured via the Common Configurator, which is available on the Industrial Edge Marketplace.

Data from the SIMATIC S7+ Connector can be published on the Industrial Edge Databus in the standard MQTT payload format and works directly with IIH Essentials. The data can be received and used in any application that accepts the standard Databus payload structure or works with the IIH Essentials. The preferred method of data storage (e.g. time series) is via IIH Essentials.
