Corresponding software blocks (FB, FC, libraries, examples) ensure simple and quick integration into the application.

Up to 4 readers can be connected to a communication module (CM) with a maximum cable length of 1 000 m (depending on the CM, reader, etc.). Corresponding procedures guarantee a very high reliability of data transmission.

The readers can be directly connected via RS232 to enable serial connection of SIMATIC RFID/MV to any system (PC, PLC, etc.).

The CI versions of the CMs provide digital inputs/outputs for the direct connection of sensors and actuators.

Notes regarding software and licensing

No software or documentation is included when purchasing a communication module (CM), reader, or optical reader. The "RFID Systems Software & Documentation" DVD contains all the blocks available for SIMATIC, demo programs, etc. and must be ordered separately. In addition, the DVD contains the complete RFID documentation in all available languages in PDF format.

The purchase of a CM, reader or optical reader includes a payment for use of the software, including documentation, on the "RFID Systems Software & Documentation" DVD. The purchaser acquires the right to make copies (copy license), insofar as they are required as part of the plant project.

The General License Conditions, included on the respective DVD, shall apply.
